Health & Wellbeing

Holy Trinity holds a Healthy School Award.  This is awarded to schools with  high quality provision that promotes a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing.

The criteria for the award is very wide ranging, including the PE, DT and PSHE curriculum, as well as the school’s ethos, policy development, school meals, the quality of playtimes and opportunities for personal growth.

We have been holding termly Health & Well-Being Days during which pupils explored the links between food & nutrition, physical activity and health & well-being.  This year we are improving our offer by delivering separate PE enrichment days, food technology days and Encounter Days (to promote spiritual/personal development and wellbeing).  These will supplement our Design & Technology, PHSE and PE curricula, rather than replace them.

Holy Trinity is also an Asthma Friendly School.  Staff are trained to support pupils with asthma, so that they can attend school with confidence.
